The business was originally founded in 2000 by Sean and Eileen O’Dea. Long before Boynesider Office Furniture existed, Sean had built a successful career in construction, specialising in timber frame homes during one of Ireland’s most active periods of growth. However, after suffering a serious heart condition and undergoing bypass surgery, he made the difficult decision to step away from the construction industry.

What started with a simple entrepreneurial idea soon became the foundation of a growing business. Sean and Eileen built Boynesider Office Furniture on strong family values, honest service and a commitment to supplying furniture that was dependable, practical and built to last. Their reputation quickly grew throughout the region as businesses returned again and again for quality products and personal service they could trust.
Today, the company is led by their son, Simon O’Dea, who has continued to grow and evolve the business while staying true to the values it was founded on. Under Simon’s leadership, Boynesider Office Furniture has expanded into a nationwide supplier supporting corporate offices, educational facilities, government organisations, home offices, legal practices, healthcare environments and modern collaborative workspaces.
